The five tapes "Trịnh Công Sơn - Khánh Ly Hát Cho Quê Hương Việt Nam" contains the most well known songs of Trịnh Công Sơn. All the songs in the first tape are about the Viet Nam war. Some people considered these songs anti-war and not appropriate at that time. Nevertheless these songs made Trịnh Công Sơn the household name in Việt Nam and established his position in the history of Vietnamese music.
